Job Description
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) – Mandatory
- Current and valid professional nursing license (SCFHS license).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced certifications (ACLS, etc.) Mandatory.
- Minimum of 8 years’ nursing experience, with at least 3 years in nursing leadership or management roles.
- Experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, and critical care is strongly preferred.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day nursing operations in assigned unit.
- Supervise nursing staff and ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and policies.
- Monitor patient care and address concerns or incidents promptly.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care.
- Conduct performance appraisals and assist in staff training and development.
- Plan and manage nursing shifts and assignments.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety practices.
- Participate in audits, patient rounds, and care conferences.
- Escalate complex clinical or administrative issues to the Nursing Director.
- Support continuous quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
