Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise nursing staff in assigned department
- Plan, organize, and evaluate daily nursing operations
- Develop and manage staff schedules and assignments
- Ensure adherence to clinical policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Monitor quality of patient care and implement improvements
- Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations for nursing staff
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare teams, and administration
- Manage departmental budgets, supplies, and resources
- Handle patient complaints and resolve operational issues
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and staff development
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration (preferred)
- Several years of clinical nursing experience
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
