Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert care for patients with chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, and end-stage renal disease (ESRD).
- Supervise and manage outpatient and inpatient dialysis services, including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
- Develop individualized dialysis prescriptions and monitor dialysis adequacy and patient response.
- Collaborate with dialysis nursing staff, technicians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Manage pre- and post-kidney transplant patients in collaboration with transplant teams, if applicable.
- Participate in nephrology consultations across hospital departments.
- Lead or participate in quality assurance and infection control programs related to dialysis.
- Educate and mentor junior doctors, nurses, and other allied health professionals in nephrology and dialysis care.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical notes, orders, and care plans.
- Keep up-to-date with latest nephrology guidelines and contribute to protocol development.
