Nephrology Specialist (Dialysis)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert care for patients with chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, and end-stage renal disease (ESRD).
  • Supervise and manage outpatient and inpatient dialysis services, including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
  • Develop individualized dialysis prescriptions and monitor dialysis adequacy and patient response.
  • Collaborate with dialysis nursing staff, technicians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Manage pre- and post-kidney transplant patients in collaboration with transplant teams, if applicable.
  • Participate in nephrology consultations across hospital departments.
  • Lead or participate in quality assurance and infection control programs related to dialysis.
  • Educate and mentor junior doctors, nurses, and other allied health professionals in nephrology and dialysis care.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical notes, orders, and care plans.
  • Keep up-to-date with latest nephrology guidelines and contribute to protocol development.
