Job Description

Medical Science Liaisons play a critical role in providing advanced scientific and medical expertise within assigned therapeutic areas, ensuring the appropriate and ethical use of company products through scientific exchange with healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders. The role focuses on building strong, long-term professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare providers, and decision makers through continuous field engagement and evidence-based discussions.

MSLs act as scientific partners to cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, and Business Development, supporting medical strategy execution, clinical activities, and medical education initiatives. They ensure accurate dissemination of balanced medical information, contribute to medical planning and insights gathering, support pharmacovigilance and risk management activities, and maintain compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Through proactive field presence and scientific expertise, MSLs contribute to strengthening medical credibility, improving patient outcomes, and supporting sustainable business growth.

What will your responsibilities be

• Builds and maintains strong, long-term scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, investigators, pharmacists, and nurses.

• Provides balanced, evidence-based medical and scientific information on assigned therapeutic areas, disease states, company products, and competitive landscape.

• Executes KOL engagement plans, organizes scientific meetings and roundtables, and gathers medical insights to support strategic decision-making.

• Collaborates with Sales and Marketing teams to implement medical activities aligned with the Integrated Brand Plan (IBP) while maintaining medical independence and compliance.

• Delivers scientific training, presentations, and updates to internal teams on new studies, therapeutic advancements, and product knowledge.

• Supports Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, and External Affairs by providing scientific input, responding to medical inquiries, and contributing to medical documentation when required.

• Contributes to Business Development initiatives by collecting scientific feedback and reviewing medical components of surveys and assessments.

• Maintains up-to-date knowledge on assigned therapeutic areas and communicates relevant medical insights and market intelligence to internal stakeholders.

• Assists in advisory boards, non-interventional studies, post-marketing studies, and clinical trial support including identification of research sites and investigators.

• Reviews medico-marketing materials and scientific presentations to ensure accuracy, ethical compliance, and adherence to promotional and regulatory standards.

• Ensures pharmacovigilance responsibilities are fulfilled, including timely reporting of adverse events and supporting Risk Management Programs (RMPs).

• Conducts field visits within assigned geographic territory and provides regular activity reports and strategic insights to management.

• Ensures all activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and quality procedures.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine; advanced scientific degree is considered a plus.

• Proven experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison, Clinical Research, or a similar scientific field role within the pharmaceutical industry.

• Strong scientific knowledge within therapeutic areas and ability to interpret and communicate clinical data effectively.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix environment.

• Solid understanding of pharmacovigilance requirements, regulatory standards, and ethical promotion practices.

• Strong analytical thinking, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to manage field activities independently.

• Fluency in English required.
