Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive learning and development support to the VP Emiratization and the broader Emiratization agenda.
  • Develop and deliver programs that preparing Emiratis for work in NMC and assist in their development and progression.
  • Utilize robust instructional design methodologies to identify learning outcomes and produce solutions that provide measurable results.
  • Ensure solutions are cost efficient and effective.
  • Must be highly engaging, versatile and professional trainer.
  • Lead the implementation of individual career development plans for Emirati employees
  • Provide comprehensive and expert advice and guidance supporting Emirati development priorities and best practices
  • Partner with leadership development to build and continually improve on NMC flagship leadership development experiences that incorporate strong pedagogical underpinnings, embrace technology, build communities and encourage a servant leadership culture epitomized by trust, performance and potential.
  • Apply sound analytical thinking to identify and improve the ROI for development offerings.
  • Act as a sounding board and provide ad hoc coaching to leaders as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the digital learning team to ensure solutions are best utilizing available technology to allow delivery at scale, with high quality inputs and measurable outcomes.
  • Engage with the NMC LMS and other learning processes such as needs analysis, career pathway planning and reporting.
  • Demonstrate high levels of energy, resilience, mindfulness and determination.
  • Build and run assessment and development centers for Emirati employees to identify high potential talent and development plans.
  • Design, scope, budget, develop, implement and evaluate Emirati leadership programs.

Qualifications

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, human resources, business or related discipline essential, masters preferred
  • Certified in instructional design desirable but not essential
  • Coaching certification desirable but not essential. 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of learning and development models and their practical implementation in formal and informal learning.
  • Exposure to career development tools and practices will be highly valued.
  • Expert facilitation and presentation skills
  • Coaching experience
  • Digital learning content creation experience
  • Project management experience

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Learning and Development
  • Previous management experience of at least 1 year is desired
  • Significant experience with increasing levels of responsibility in the Learning and Development domain
  • Experience working directly with Emirati employees and their line managers
  • Leading projects successfully across lines of business without formal authority.
