Job Description

The Thumbay Institute of Clinical Simulation (TICS) at Gulf Medical University, Ajman, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager – Medical Simulation to lead and oversee the operations of our state-of-the-art clinical simulation center.

This leadership role is ideal for professionals passionate about healthcare simulation, academic excellence, and advancing immersive, technology-enabled medical education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the simulation centre, ensuring effective day-to-day operations, scheduling, and delivery of simulation activities.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines for simulation-based education.
  • Lead faculty development initiatives and manage recruitment, training, supervision, and performance of simulation staff and technicians.
  • Ensure quality assurance, continuous improvement, and compliance with national and international accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with academic and clinical stakeholders to integrate simulation-based learning across health professions curricula.
  • Support and advance simulation-based research, scholarship, and innovation, including dissemination through publications and conferences.
  • Establish and maintain national and international partnerships and represent the simulation centre in professional forums.
  • Plan and manage budgets, oversee procurement, and ensure effective utilization and sustainability of financial and physical resources.
  • Monitor emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in healthcare simulation and recommend strategic enhancements.
  • Prepare reports, evaluations, and documentation for institutional leadership, audits, and accreditation reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare Simulation, Health Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in clinical simulation, healthcare education, or simulation center operations.
  • Experience managing simulation labs, clinical skills centers, or healthcare training facilities
