Job Description
Accountabilities
- Receives blood and body fluid samples at the lab reception and starts the pre-analytical processing of the samples.
- Performs daily checks on equipment to ensure its safety and correct operability.
- Performs all analytical processes on the hematology, biochemistry, serology and hormone lab machines.
- Performs daily quality control tests on regents
- Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures.
- Performs microscopic preparation and examination of urine and stools.
- Maintains laboratory supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Conserves laboratory resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Informs medical staff of critical test results.
- Prepares reports of technological findings by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control and hazardous waste policies and procedures.
- Maintains patient confidence and protects the hospital by keeping information confidential.
The employee’s duties are not limited to the above-mentioned accountabilities. The manager can assign other duties based on the business need.

- Working Hours : 8 net working hours according to shift schedule approved by head of department.
Job Requirement
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Applied medical science (laboratory section)
Experience
- 2 years of practical experience following graduation.
Computer Skills
- Office & Health Information System
Languages
- English and Arabic (fluent speaking and writing)
