Role Description The Internal Medicine Physician will provide comprehensive adult medical care, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions in an outpatient and, when applicable, inpatient setting. Responsibilities include conducting thorough clinical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing evidence-based treatment plans, and coordinating care with other specialists and healthcare team members. The physician will maintain accurate and timely medical records, support preventive care initiatives, and contribute to quality improvement and clinical protocols within the complex. The role also involves patient education, communication with families and caregivers, and adherence to local regulatory and ethical standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based at AlZaem Medical Complex in Doha, Qatar.
Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution and completed residency in Internal Medicine.
  • Valid professional license to practice Internal Medicine and eligibility to obtain registration with relevant health authorities in Qatar.
  • Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing a broad range of adult medical conditions, including chronic disease management and preventive care.
  • Proficiency in interpreting laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic investigations to guide evidence-based treatment decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, explain medical information clearly, and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care, clinical safety, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate, timely medical documentation using electronic health records.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic or other languages commonly used in Qatar is an advantage.
  • Experience in private or multi-specialty clinic settings, and familiarity with quality improvement, clinical audits, or guideline development is beneficial.
  • Ongoing engagement in continuing medical education and willingness to participate in training, case discussions, and professional development activities.
