Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.
Danat Al Emarat Hospital is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner – Pediatrics to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care to infants and children in an outpatient and/or inpatient setting. The role supports comprehensive pediatric services within a multidisciplinary, family‑focused hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and effective medical care to pediatric patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of common childhood illnesses.
- Manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions in line with evidence‑based clinical guidelines.
- Conduct routine pediatric follow‑ups, developmental assessments, and health education for families.
- Collaborate closely with pediatric specialists, nursing teams, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and UAE healthcare regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to patient safety and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree with completed Internship and General Practice training.
- Valid or eligible DOH Abu Dhabi license as a General Practitioner.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Pediatrics or a pediatric‑focused clinical setting (hospital or clinic).
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a compassionate approach to pediatric care.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
