District Manager – (Pharmaceutical Consumer).

JOB PURPOSE: The District manager is accountable and responsible for the achievement of sales targets, enhancing sales team productivity and managing sales expenditure to achieve the division objectives. This entails not just hitting sales goals, but also fostering a positive work environment, motivating the team, and ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to boost sales while controlling costs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensuring that each store within the district operates efficiently and effectively, meeting company standards for customer service, cleanliness, and overall performance.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and recognition to maintain high levels of employee engagement and job satisfaction.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring satisfaction and long-term retention.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to enhance productivity, ensuring individual and team goals are met.
  • Drive the district to meet or exceed sales targets by implementing effective sales strategies and ensuring alignment with division objectives.
  • Monitoring sales performance across stores and implementing strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Training and developing store managers and staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to meet operational goals.
  • Overseeing inventory levels, product merchandising, and stock replenishment to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize stockouts.
  • Managing budgets and expenses within the district, including payroll, operational costs, and capital expenditures.
  • Ensuring a positive customer experience across all stores by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, service, and product quality.
  • Ensuring that stores comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including health and safety standards.
  • Acting as a liaison between corporate headquarters and store managers, conveying company policies, initiatives, and performance expectations.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent Experience.
  • Minimum 4 years Supervisory experience in sales preferable in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Skilled in developing and executing district-level sales strategies to meet and exceed targets, ensuring a balanced focus on revenue growth, market share, and customer satisfaction.
  • Comprehensive experience managing high-priority accounts, including cultivating strong relationships with clients, resolving escalations, and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Skilled in analyzing sales metrics, market trends, and competitive insights to refine district strategies and ensure long-term profitability.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Thorough understanding of market dynamics, competitor landscape, and customer needs.
