Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Lead and develop the Nutrition Department’s strategic plans, aligning them with the organization’s overall vision and goals.
- Drive initiatives to enhance patient care, quality standards, and operational efficiency.
Clinical & Operational Oversight:
- Oversee the delivery of comprehensive clinical nutritional services, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and clinical outcomes.
- Establish, implement, and monitor nutritional policies and procedures to meet local and international accreditation standards (DOH, JCI).
- Evaluate and continuously improve nutritional care protocols and patient satisfaction.
Management and Operations:
- Oversee daily departmental operations, ensuring effective resource allocation, budgeting, and cost control.
- Manage recruitment, training, professional development, and performance evaluation of clinical dietitians and support staff.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with medical and administrative teams, contributing actively to clinical committees and hospital management meetings.
- Work closely with senior medical professionals to develop patient-centered nutritional programs for preventive care, chronic disease management, and specialized care areas.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Lead departmental compliance with accreditation requirements (DOH, JCI, ISO).
- Conduct internal audits and oversee quality improvement initiatives to ensure regulatory adherence and best practices in clinical nutrition.
- Manage risk assessment activities to ensure patient safety and high standards of nutritional care.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Nutrition (Mandatory)
- Fluent in Arabic (Mandatory)
- Valid professional nutrition/dietitian license (DOH license preferred)
- Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in clinical nutrition, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial or director-level position
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary nutrition teams, strategic planning, budgeting, and quality assurance
