Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.

Danat Al Emarat Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and patient-focused Consultant Radiologist to join its multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive diagnostic imaging services, interpreting a wide range of radiological studies, supporting clinical decision-making, and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care across the hospital. The role requires close collaboration with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and optimal treatment outcomes.
Responsibilities

• Interpret and report a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies, including X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and other imaging modalities.
• Provide expert radiological consultations to referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform and supervise image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, where applicable.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of radiological findings.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, tumor boards, and clinical case discussions.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, radiation protection, and quality assurance.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental protocols and best practices.
• Supervise and mentor junior physicians, fellows, and radiographers as required.
• Participate in departmental audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities.
• Comply with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Tier 1 qualification as per DOH requirements (e.g., American Board, Canadian Board, CCT/CCST, Australian Fellowship, or equivalent Tier 1 certification).
• Eligible for or holding a DOH Consultant License in Radiology.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of post-board experience at consultant level in a recognized healthcare institution.
• Expertise in interpreting a broad range of diagnostic imaging modalities, including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and X-ray.
• Subspecialty expertise in Women’s Imaging, Breast Imaging, Fetal Imaging, or Pediatric Radiology is preferred.
• Excellent communication, multidisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centered care skills.
