Consultant Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional, effective care while ensuring patient safety and satisfaction
  • Conduct thorough evaluations in line with established protocols
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting attendance, treatment frequency, and content of consultations
  • Utilize standardized measurement techniques, including joint range of motion (ROM) assessments, muscle strength testing, and functional coordination evaluations
  • Set clear, achievable treatment goals and design tailored rehabilitation programs for patients
  • Apply appropriate supportive and assistive devices, ensuring patient safety and equipment protection
  • Involve patients and their families in the treatment planning process, obtaining their consent and understanding
  • Administer treatment modalities at appropriate dosages and duration, adjusting as needed based on ongoing assessments
  • Assist with clerical tasks related to the Physical Therapy Department as required
  • Participate actively in Directors’ meetings and other hospital-wide discussions and committees

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting, with expertise in physical medicine and rehabilitation
  • Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Valid license to practice in the country of origin
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Proven managerial skills and experience
