Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.

Danat Al Emarat Hospital, a leading women’s and children’s specialty hospital within M42, is seeking a Consultant Obstetrics & Gynecology to join its expanding clinical team. The role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across obstetrics and gynecology services, with a focus on managing both routine and high-risk cases in a tertiary care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal management.
  • Manage high-risk pregnancies and complex gynecological conditions in line with best clinical practices.
  • Perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and open gynecological surgeries.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to departmental development, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and emergency coverage as required.
  • Support teaching, mentoring, and supervision of junior medical staff.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with JCI and DOH standards.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree with specialization in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  • Recognized Board Certification (e.g., Arab Board, Western Board, or equivalent Tier 1 qualification).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of post-specialization experience at Consultant level (or equivalent senior experience).
  • Proven expertise in managing high-risk obstetrics cases is strongly preferred.
  • Eligibility for DOH Consultant licensure.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills.
