Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of new patients by reviewing medical histories and understanding their symptoms or health concerns
- Perform routine gynecological examinations, including pap smears, pelvic exams, and breast exams
- Monitor patients’ health through follow-up visits, ensuring continuous care and management
- Educate patients on safe sexual practices, preventive healthcare, and family planning
- Oversee the care of pregnant women, providing prenatal consultations, supervising labor and delivery, and offering postnatal support
- Order and analyze diagnostic tests, screenings, and imaging to diagnose and address gynecological and obstetric conditions
- Supervise and guide medical staff, including nurses and physician assistants, to ensure compliance with medical protocols and best practices
- Stay updated on the latest medical advancements by engaging in ongoing professional development activities, including attending medical conferences and reviewing scientific literature
Requirements
- Specialized medical degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Active and valid medical license to practice in the respective state
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology, with a background in either hospital or private practice settings
- Proficiency in medical charting and relevant computer programs
- Strong leadership skills to manage and coordinate with other healthcare professionals
- Empathetic, patient-centered care approach with excellent communication skills and bedside manner
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities to provide exceptional care to patients
