Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assumes overall responsibility of the medical and surgical management of his/ her patients according to clinical specialty and privileges and in consultation with other specialties when needed.
- To manage the care of new and follow up patients at Riyadh Hospital from consultation through to completion of treatment.
- To maintain accurate and clear medical records.
- To ensure consistent medical treatment of patients by working in accordance with agreed protocols and achieve medical continuity of care for the Patients.
- To provide advice to clinical, scientific and administration staff.
- To facilitate own training under the supervision of head of department and chief medical officer, in accordance with hospital requirements, best practice, and Riyadh Hospital Policies & Procedures and protocols.
- To take responsibility for CME and documentation of activity in support of revalidation.
- To comply with current laws, regulations, and accreditation standards such as MOH, SCFHS, SFDA, CBAHI, JCI, etc.
Qualification & Experience Requirements:
- Saudi Board Certified or equivalent is required.
- Experience not less than three years after obtaining the required qualification (Saudi Board or an equivalent) or minimum of 5 years if the credential is from the second category according to the SCFHS regulations. For subspecialties, the consultant should have fulfilled the required training.
- Current Registration in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, as a consultant, is highly preferred.
- BLS and ATLS certification depending on the specialty is highly required.
