Since its inception in 2010, National Reference Laboratory (NRL) has expanded from a single standalone reference laboratory to a network of 12 state-of-the-art facilities across the United Arab Emirates. NRL provides world-class diagnostic services to the M42 network and partners with more than 250 clients from a wide range of market segments, including private and government hospitals, medical centers and clinics, corporate organizations, and other reference laboratories.
NRL, operating under M42 Healthcare, is seeking a Consultant Clinical Pathologist with subspecialty expertise in Hematopathology.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and report complex hematopathology cases, including bone marrow biopsies, lymph node specimens, and peripheral blood disorders.
- Correlate morphology with immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, cytogenetics, and molecular findings to issue comprehensive and clinically relevant diagnostic reports.
- Provide expert consultative support to clinicians and participate in multidisciplinary case discussions where required.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards, accreditation requirements, and patient safety protocols.
- Contribute to the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of hematopathology diagnostic workflows in line with international best practices.
- Support teaching, mentoring, and professional development of junior medical or laboratory staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Medical degree with recognized specialist certification in Hematopathology, such as CCT, CCST, American Board, or an equivalent Tier 1 qualification.
- Eligibility for licensure with the relevant UAE health authority.
- Minimum 5-7 years of post-specialization experience in hematopathology, ideally within a tertiary care or reference laboratory setting.
- Strong expertise in advanced diagnostic techniques, including flow cytometry and molecular hematopathology.
- Excellent diagnostic judgment, reporting ability, and communication skills.
- Prior experience in accreditation-focused, high-complexity laboratory environments will be an advantage. NRL and its associated pathology services operate within highly accredited laboratory settings.
