Caregiver – for Homehealth (Northern Emirates)
This is a full-time, on-site Caregiver role for Homehealth services, based in Northern Emirates, United Arab Emirates and covering patients in the Northern Emirates as assigned. The Caregiver will provide compassionate, person-centered care in the patient’s home, including assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, mobility, and safe transfers. Responsibilities include supporting activities of daily living, monitoring and reporting changes in the patient’s condition, and following individualized care plans under the guidance of licensed healthcare professionals. The role also involves helping with meal preparation, feeding support as needed, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and adhering to infection prevention and safety protocols. The Caregiver will maintain accurate basic care records, communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team, and uphold the organization’s standards of dignity, respect, and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in personal care and activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility assistance, and safe transfers).
- Ability to observe, recognize, and promptly report changes in patient condition, including comfort, behavior, and basic vital signs as trained.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact respectfully with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of infection prevention, basic first aid, and safe handling techniques within a homehealth or community care setting.
- Experience providing home-based care, preferably within the UAE or similar healthcare systems, is highly beneficial.
- Relevant caregiver, nursing assistant, or homehealth aide certification or training, in line with local regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work full time in an on-site, home-visit capacity, including flexibility to travel within Dubai and the Northern Emirates as needed.
- High level of reliability, empathy, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to maintaining patient privacy and dignity.
- Basic English language proficiency; additional language skills commonly used in the region are an advantage.
