Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and commercially driven Biomedical Engineer with one to two years of relevant industry experience to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will receive comprehensive product and clinical training and will work closely with surgeons, healthcare professionals, hospital departments, and procurement teams across the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
– Represent KOV Medical professionally and embody the company’s core values in all interactions.
– Develop an in-depth understanding of our medical devices, surgical products, and their clinical applications.
– Promote the company’s product portfolio using effective communication and consultative sales skills.
– Provide technical and product support to surgeons, doctors, nurses, and hospital staff.
– Attend surgical procedures and provide clinical and technical support within the operating theatre.
– Work closely with healthcare professionals across multiple surgical specialties.
– Build and maintain strong professional relationships with surgeons, hospital departments, procurement teams, and other stakeholders.
– Assist with product demonstrations, trials, presentations, and training sessions.
– Inspect, prepare, organise, and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and product sets.
– Support the development and maintenance of quality-control procedures, safety policies, and regulatory requirements.
– Manage product documentation, stock records, hospital requirements, and related administrative responsibilities accurately.
– Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the company’s commercial growth.
– Maintain a high standard of organisation, professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
– Continuously develop their clinical, technical, and commercial knowledge.
Candidate Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering.
– Degree must be UAE-accredited or appropriately attested for use in the UAE.
– One to two years of relevant experience within the medical device, surgical, healthcare, or hospital industry.
– Previous experience in medical device sales, clinical support, operating-theatre support, or hospital account management is preferred.
– Valid UAE driving licence.
– Willingness to travel between hospitals and healthcare facilities across the UAE.
– Comfortable working within hospital and operating-theatre environments.
– Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
– Highly organised, responsible, and attentive to detail.
– Commercially minded, with a strong interest in medical device sales and business development.
– Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
– Willingness to learn, take responsibility, and work in a fast-paced environment.
– Strong business awareness and an understanding of the UAE healthcare sector would be advantageous.
