Job Description
The Urology Physician (OPD) is responsible for providing comprehensive urological care in the outpatient department in accordance with SCFHS clinical privileges, MOH regulations, and CBAHI accreditation standards. The role involves diagnosing and managing urological diseases, performing outpatient diagnostic procedures, and coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive urological consultations and physical examinations in the outpatient department
- Diagnose and manage common urological conditions including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate disorders, and urinary incontinence
- Evaluate and manage male reproductive health conditions such as erectile dysfunction and male infertility
- Request and interpret diagnostic investigations including laboratory tests, ultrasound, and other imaging studies
- Perform minor urological procedures when applicable in the outpatient setting
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessment and diagnostic findings
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and clinical safety protocols
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for multidisciplinary patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional education
Qualifications
- MBBS / MBBCh (Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine)
- Postgraduate qualification in Urology (Master’s Degree, Arab Board, MD Urology, or equivalent)
- Valid SCFHS Classification & Registration as Urology Specialist or Registrar
- Valid MOH License or eligibility to obtain one
- Transferable Iqama required
Experience Requirement
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in urology practice post-qualification
- Experience in outpatient urology (OPD) settings preferred
- Experience managing common urological conditions and minor procedures in OPD
