Responsibilities
- Provides screening, consultation, comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and treatment for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Utilizes evidence-based practice and International Clinical Guidelines for therapeutic interventions and skill development.
- Conducts therapy sessions with individuals, groups, and families across various clinical settings, including inpatient and outpatient environments.
- Assesses patient histories to identify underlying causes of speech and language impairments, such as congenital disorders and acquired brain injuries
- Works with patients of all ages to treat conditions like stuttering, dysphonia, and swallowing disorders.
- Offers advice, education, and support to patient, families and education and inclusion teams regarding treatment plans.
- Collaborates with healthcare professionals and family members to devise effective therapy plans.
- Develops and implements specialized therapy programs to aid in the recovery of speech, language, and swallowing functions.
- Tracks patient progress and maintains accurate, timely treatment records.
- Participates in conferences and training to share knowledge on new treatment methods and technologies, while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Speech and Language Pathology.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Speech and Language Pathology.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, with a focus on continuous professional development.
