Responsibilities

• Conduct a qualified technical examination of the patient.
• Assess and diagnose speech disorders, language disorders, communication disorders, and swallowing disorders.
• Implement therapy sessions with patients with speech disorders, language disorders, communication disorders, and swallowing disorders.
• Provide guidance and training to parents, teachers, and other caregivers on techniques and practices they can use at home to enhance communication and improve language skills.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary medical team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
• Equip the clinic with the necessary equipment and standardized tests for evaluating and treating a variety of diagnoses and conditions.
• Participate in marketing and community education functions as required.
• Plan and implement educational activities during service to meet specific learning needs and implement performance improvement initiatives. Encourage participation in employee education activities and provide consultations to facility staff.

Requirements:

• a bachelor’s degree in speech and language.
• a minimum of 3 years of experience as a speech and language therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in differential diagnosis and evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively explain complex concepts to patients and colleagues.
• Proven ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments and patient goals.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up to date with the latest research and advancements in the field.
• Valid professional license or registration as a speech and language expert in Saudi Arabia.
