Job Description
7.1. Treats the effects and complications of traumatic musculoskeletal injuries, neurological diseases, traumatic brain injury, spinal
cord injury, amputation, cardiopulmonary illnesses, or other medical co-morbidities with the help of other subspecialists and
internists. Serves as the team leader and admitting physician for the inpatient rehabilitation patients. Also, evaluates, treats
and follows up these and similar patients in an outpatient setting. These conditions and diseases may include, but are not
limited to pain disorders, obesity, amputations, osteoporosis and a number of other MSK and neurological problems.
7.2. Treats soft tissue problems related to musculoskeletal systems and sports related soft tissue disorders.
7.3. Studies signs and symptoms of chronic illnesses and evaluates their effect on function and independence.
7.4. Designs customized and individualized treatment plans, depending on a patient’s disease and impairment.
7.5. Studies and gauges the results of a patient’s lab tests, radiological, and electro-diagnostic studies.
7.6. Collaborates and if required leads and supervises Medical registrars, Speech therapist, Occupational Therapists,
Physiotherapists, Dietician and other healthcare Professional
Education Medical Degree, Specialization/Board in PM&R
Experience Minimum 3 Years’ Experience Post Board/Specialization
Valid DOH license
