Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Orthopedic Surgery to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive orthopedic care, including the diagnosis, treatment, and management of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries. The role involves delivering high-quality inpatient, outpatient, and emergency orthopedic services while ensuring patient safety and clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
- Perform orthopedic surgical procedures within the scope of specialty privileges and hospital guidelines.
- Manage trauma and emergency orthopedic cases in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient orthopedic consultations and follow-up care.
- Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans to optimize patient outcomes.
- Interpret diagnostic imaging and other investigations relevant to orthopedic practice.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical meetings.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and clinical documentation.
- Adhere to hospital policies, quality standards, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety requirements.
- Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuous medical education activities.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) recognized by the relevant health authority.
- Completion of a recognized residency training program in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Specialist qualification in Orthopedic Surgery recognized by DOH, DHA, or MOH regulations.
- Eligibility for, or possession of, a DOH license as a Specialist Orthopedic Surgery.
- Proven experience in the diagnosis and management of a broad range of orthopedic conditions and surgical procedures.
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, and continuous professional development.
