Job Description

Diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders of the eyes and visual system. Conducts comprehensive eye examinations, prescribes corrective lenses and medications, performs ophthalmic procedures where qualified, and provides preventive eye care to maintain and improve patients’ vision.

Qualification & Experience:

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology or an equivalent specialty.
• Valid medical license from the relevant healthcare authority (DHA, DOH, or MOHAP, as applicable).
• Previous experience in ophthalmology and eye care is preferred.
• Expertise in diagnosing and managing conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disorders, and eye infections.
• Experience in performing eye examinations and interpreting ophthalmic diagnostic tests.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic procedures and surgical techniques, where applicable.
• Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic, and communication skills.
• Ability to provide patient-centred care and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
