Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist in Critical Care Medicine to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, clinical excellence, and evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of critically ill adult patients.
• Lead the multidisciplinary ICU team in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Perform and supervise advanced critical care procedures, including airway management, mechanical ventilation, central venous catheterization, arterial line insertion, and other bedside procedures.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with specialists, surgeons, emergency physicians, and nursing teams to ensure coordinated patient management.
• Participate in rapid response and code blue teams as required.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, international clinical guidelines, and patient safety standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Supervise, mentor, and provide clinical guidance to junior physicians and residents.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, audits, CME activities, and research.

Qualifications

• MD/DNB/DM/CCT/Equivalent qualification in Critical Care Medicine or related specialty recognized by the relevant medical authority.
• Fellowship or Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine.
• Valid medical license/eligibility to practice in the UAE (DOH, DHA, or MOH preferred) or eligibility to obtain one.
