Senior Pharmacy Procurement Specialist

• We are looking for an experienced Senior Pharmacy Procurement Specialist to lead strategic purchasing activities, strengthen supplier partnerships, and optimize procurement performance across our pharmacy network.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage the purchasing of pharmaceuticals, OTC products, cosmetics, medical devices, and healthcare products.
• Build, develop, and maintain strategic relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, annual contracts, pricing, payment terms, rebates, and promotional offers.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and availability.
• Analyze sales trends, inventory levels, and purchasing forecasts to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Warehouse, Finance, and Marketing to ensure efficient supply planning.
• Monitor supplier performance, service levels, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure continuous product availability while minimizing stock shortages and excess inventory.
• Prepare procurement reports, supplier performance evaluations, and purchasing KPIs.
• Stay updated with pharmaceutical market trends, new product launches, and supplier opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement.
• Previous experience in pharmacy chains is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of the Egyptian pharmaceutical market and major pharmaceutical suppliers.
• Proven experience in negotiating commercial agreements and supplier contracts.
• Strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Very good command of English.
