Senior HVAC Tradesman
Diagnoses and addresses issues in heating/air conditioning systems, and performs routine and preventive maintenance ensuring continuous functionality. Inspects HVAC components, recommends, repairs, and executes preventive measures. Handles inventory, welding, brazing, and fabricating duct metal work with high precision. Conducts refrigeration cycle, identifies components, diagnoses problems, and oversees mechanical systems. Maintains Building Management Systems (BMS) and Air Valve Systems (AVS), adapting to air and water treatment protocols.
Responsibilities
Performs the basic refrigeration cycle includes:
- Identifying components in refrigeration circuits and understanding how each component works.
- Diagnosing problems in the refrigeration circuit, using manifold gauge set, pressure/temperature chart and temperature measuring devices for routine maintenance and to troubleshoot.
- Oversees all mechanical systems, vacuum and air compressors, and electric motors and is fully familiar with compressor overhaul requirements including parts and consumables identification.
- Handles BMS and Air Valve Systems.
- Adapts to balancing air and water treatment systems per HVAC protocols.
- Performs fabricating equipment parts to meet speciality needs or replace parts that may not be readily available.
- Handles tasks effectively in extreme weather conditions.
- Gives high-quality utility services to our valuable Patients, Visitors and American Hospital Dubai’s employees.
- Maintains American Hospital Dubai’s environment safe and comfortable for our Valuable Patients, Visitors and Employees.
- Implement Sustainable Practices/Policies in Facilities Management operations.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Trade
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a Healthcare Organization or similar institution
- Knowledge of refrigeration recovery, evacuation and charging
- Knowledge of air and water-cooled chillers along with Cooling Towers and through BMS systems
- Knowledge of the Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) Standard preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
