Psychiatry Chief Division
Strategic Roles & Responsibilities:
- Contribute to clinical research strategies on standardized psychological assessment tools
- Begin to supervise and mentor entry level clinicians and psychology interns
Operational Roles & Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive psychological assessments using evidence-based tools and clinical interviews to address complex psychological cognitive developmental and personality issues Ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment recommendations based on DSM 5 criteria
- Design and deliver individualized treatment plans using diverse therapeutic techniques such as CBT DBT and family therapy Regularly evaluate and adjust interventions to enhance client outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans Consult with other clinicians and educators to understand client needs fully
- Draft detailed written reports that summarize assessment findings diagnoses and treatment strategies Maintain UpToDate and accurate client records
- Participate in quality improvement and professional development initiatives Provide supervision and guidance to early career mental health professionals to promote clinical competency
Minimum Education Required
- Master’s in clinical psychology
Professional Certifications Required
- SCFHS License as applicable; Evidence-Based Certification (i.e., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and 100 CME Hours of accredited courses that are directly related with the field.
Years of Experience
- Minimum 7 years of Clinical Psychology or related experience and 2,000 hours of supervised training.
