Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the hospital’s safety management strategy.
- Establish and enforce safety policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
- Oversee all safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Monitor adherence to local and international health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and deliver training programs on occupational safety and emergency preparedness.
- Develop and maintain hospital-wide emergency response and disaster readiness plans.
- Provide strategic safety insights and reports to executive leadership.
- Manage the Safety & Risk team, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Systems), Occupational or Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in safety management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role—preferably in a healthcare environment.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare safety standards, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
