Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the hospital’s safety management strategy.
  • Establish and enforce safety policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
  • Oversee all safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Monitor adherence to local and international health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs on occupational safety and emergency preparedness.
  • Develop and maintain hospital-wide emergency response and disaster readiness plans.
  • Provide strategic safety insights and reports to executive leadership.
  • Manage the Safety & Risk team, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Systems), Occupational or Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in safety management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role—preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare safety standards, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
