Job Description

Restorative Dentist or General Dentist who will be responsible for evaluation, diagnosis, prevention and/or treatment of diseases, disorders and/or conditions of the oral cavity, maxillofacial area and/or the adjacent and associated structures and their impact.

Required Qualifications:

· BDS, DMD, DDS, or equivalent (preferably MDS in restorative or conservative dentistry)

· Must have proven clinical experience in restorative dentistry.

· Should be able to deliver lectures and academic presentations on restorative topics.

· Must have experience in supervising trainees and conducting hands-on training sessions on restorative procedures.

· Successful completion of one year internship

· Three years of clinical experience required.

· DHA or DOH License holder.

· Good co-ordination, organizational skills, work under pressure

· Being friendly, sensitive and supportive with patients

· Problem Solving Skills, Dexterity, team-work oriented

· Knowledge of UAE health laws and regulations.

· Fluent in English and Arabic

· Computer skills with knowledge in Microsoft Office tools

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

· Two years’ work experience in UAE in the same field.

Job Responsibilities:

· Diagnose and manage orofacial conditions, explaining findings and treatment options to patients.

· Perform restorative, preventive, and endodontic procedures including fillings, crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, and root canal treatments.

· Restore or replace tooth structure and rehabilitate the dentition as needed.

· Conduct oral hygiene procedures (cleaning, scaling, polishing, root planning) and extractions when indicated.

· Administer local anaesthesia, prescribe medications, and request diagnostic tests or X-rays.

· Review dental and medical histories to plan appropriate treatment.

· Educate and counsel patients and parents on oral health maintenance and post-treatment care.

· Collaborate with other dental specialists and healthcare professionals in patient management.

· Prepare treatment plans, discuss costs, and obtain informed consent before procedures.

· Maintain accurate and updated patient records and ensure proper functioning of dental equipment.

· Supervise trainees and conduct theoretical and practical educational sessions on restorative procedures.

· Deliver lectures, presentations, and hands-on workshops with strong communication and teaching skills.
