Resident Medical Officer – Orthopedics Department (3-6 months)

We are seeking a Locum Resident Medical Officer to join our Orthopedics Department for 3-6 months. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical support for Inpatient services and Operating Theatre, working closely with Consultants and Specialists to ensure safe, evidence-based, and high-quality patient care.
This role is ideal for a General Practitioner/ Junior Specialist with recent 3-5 years of Orthopedic surgical experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical care and support to Orthopedic surgeries in inpatient/ OT setting under the supervision of Consultants.
- Assist in the pre-operative and post-operative management of Orthopedic patients.
- Participate in ward rounds, document clinical findings, and implement treatment plans.
- Provide medical coverage for the Operating Theatre, including patient assessment and peri-operative care.
- Respond promptly to Emergencies/Trauma
- Perform routine bedside procedures within the scope of clinical privileges.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record
- Collaborate effectively with nursing, anaesthesia, and allied health teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Comply with hospital policies, patient safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by the DHA.
- General Practitioner or Junior Specialist with 2–5 years of post-internship hospital experience in Orthopedics Department.
- DHA Eligibility Letter or DHA License is mandatory as GP or Specialist, Orthopedic Surgery
- Recent experience in Surgical Inpatient and Operating Theatre is essential.
- Current BLS certification is a prerequisite.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work rotational shifts, including weekends, nights, and on-call duties.
- Candidates available to join within 3 weeks will be prioritized.
- Candidates must hold valid UAE Residence Visa with NOC from current sponsor to work as a Locum.
