Job Description

Job Requirements:

Experience: Must be in continuous good radiological practice and should hold at least 2 years’

post-diploma experience

Education: Must hold an appropriate radiographic/technological diplomas / Bachelor degree

Language:

Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

1.Carries out routine radiographic examinations in line with the policies and procedures of the department.

2. Assists in carrying out specialized radiologic procedures under the supervision of senior staff.

3. Responsible for correct identification of patients and site of exposure before each examination.

4. Responsible for final reminder of female patients or female companion for the possibility of being pregnant

or not.

5. Removes all radio-opaque materials from patient or table that could interfere with radiographic image.

6. Verifies accuracy of film identification.

7. Do aseptic technique before doing procedures.

8. Prepares contrast agent for administration.

9. Documents required information on patient log book.

10. Evaluates radiographs for diagnostic quality.

11. Prepares and adjusts radiographic unit and accessories.

12. Evaluates the need for use protective shielding and take appropriate precautions to minimize radiation

exposure to patients and visitors & staff.

13. Inspects all equipment’s under his or her control on a regular daily basis and ensures that the equipment is

kept clean and ready at all times. Reports all deficiencies to Radiology Manager.

14. Never give medical diagnostic opinion to anybody about examinations which he or she may have carried out

or assisted in carrying out.

15. Participates in orientation and in-service educational program of the department.

16. Educates patients and their families about health conditions, treatments and preventative measures if

applicable.
