Job Description

BSc (Hons) Podiatry / Podiatric Medicine or DPM from a recognised institution

• SCFHS classification and registration as Podiatrist, Specialist level or above

• Valid registration in country of qualification (HCPC, AHPRA, CORU or equivalent)

• Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, including at least 2 years in a diabetic foot or high-risk foot service

• Current BLS

Clinical competencies to screen against:

• IWGDF risk stratification and structured foot screening

• Sharp debridement of callus and neuropathic ulcers

• Offloading, including total contact casting and orthotic prescription

• Non-invasive vascular assessment using toe pressures and photoplethysmography

• Nail surgery under local anaesthetic

• Recognition and management of Charcot neuroarthropathy
