DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Undertake duties in accordance with the philosophy, business practices and policies of NMC- Orthoplus , and practicing within the standards and ethics of the Physiotherapy profession Typical work activities include:
  • working with patients to identify the physical problem; 
  • developing and reviewing treatment programmes; 
  • assisting patients with joint and spinal problems, especially following surgery; 
  • helping patients’ rehabilitation following accidents, injury and strokes; 
  • supervising physiotherapy assistants; 
  • writing patient case notes and reports; 
  • collecting patient statistics; 
  • educating and advising patients and their carers about how to prevent and/or improve conditions;
    1. Working as a professional member of a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team and actively participating in team meetings
    2. Effectively communicating with staff members, health professionals, clients and family with regards to provision of physiotherapy services
    3. Supervising and instructing Physiotherapy Aides
    4. Contributing to, and participating in, education programs for residents, relatives and staff of NMC- orthoplus
    5. Participating in continuing education and courses updating Physiotherapy techniques and information
    6. Ensuring Physiotherapy equipment is adequately maintained and liaising with the HOD for the ordering of supplies and equipment
    7. Ensuring Physiotherapy treatments are based on sound evidence of benefit
    8. Ensuring all adverse clinical events are recorded and reported 
    9. Maintaining a safe work environment 
    10. Assisting in the on-going maintenance of a safe work place through involvement in the implementation of safe systems of work 
    11. Identifying and reporting hazards in the workplace.
    12. Participating in NMC orthoplus Quality Management System and commitment to processes of continuous improvement activities, including auditing, surveys and needs analysis.
    13. Other duties as directed by the HOD or the Medical Director.

            OSH ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

           General:

  1. Comply with reasonable OSH instructions, policies and safe working procedures 
    1. Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems. 
    2. Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures 
    3. Not willfully or recklessly endanger anyone’s health and safety 
    4. Assist with the preparation of risk assessments 
    5. Report OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issues 
    6. Reduce, Reuse, Recycling of waste as much as possible 
    7. Attend all OSH Trainings, awareness programs and mock drills. 
    8. Participates in the OSHMS audits, inspections, ensuring standards are maintained

            BCP ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsibilities of staff (including all contractors) are:

3.24.1           Achieving an adequate level of general awareness regarding business continuity Being aware of the contents of their service areas disaster recovery plan and any specific role or responsibilities allocated.

  1.  Participating actively in the business continuity programme when required

3.24.3        Ensuring information governance standards continue to be applied to data and information during an incident

Basic Computer Literacy Skills:

  1. Use basic word processing, spreadsheet and desktop presentation applications as applicable to your work.
    1. Demonstrate proficiency in Windows operating environment.

Qualifications

  1. Graduate from an approved College or University in Physiotherapy
    1. Current license in country of origin with DOH license to practice in Emirate of Alain, U.A.E.
    2. Minimum 2 years experience of practice  in Physical Medicine
    3. Excellent command of oral and written English. Arabic language advantageous/desirable but not essential.
    4. Ability to work in cordial conditions in group practice in a hospital set up and as a member of a team
    5. Knowledge of the range and type of services available for aged/disabled person
    6. Ability to work with minimal supervision
    7. Ability to review procedures and implement new models of service delivery to satisfy client and organizational requirements
    8. Demonstrated commitment to quality outcomes and ability to consult with staff regarding continuous improvement

Sound computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  1. Clinical Education & Training
    1. Participate in the orientation, supervision, and clinical training of physiotherapy students and interns.
    2. Demonstrate high standards of clinical skills, professional conduct, and ethical practice to students during their clinical placements.
    3. Provide structured feedback, guidance, and performance evaluations to students throughout their clinical postings. 
    4.  Contribute to the development and periodic update of training materials, clinical protocols, and learning objectives to ensure high‑quality educational experiences
