Job Description:

  • Plan, direct perform and supervise activities involved in the preparation and dispensing of the prescribed medications and other pharmaceutical products.
  • Responsible to coordinate the daily needs and report the un-availability of all medicines and accessories in outpatient pharmacy as per demand of the customers to the supply chain team and follow-up to ensure optimum service for the customers.
  • Responsible for maintaining expiry of all medicines in alignment with pharmacy stick controller and pharmacy team.
  • Fulfils the requirement pertaining to the dispensing of drugs as per the clinic and government regulations.
  • Actively participate in organizing scientific activities e.g. Seminars, lectures, training etc. to the pharmacy team and other healthcare professionals whenever needed.
  • Evaluate and improve the manual of policy and procedure every year, monitoring effectiveness and addressing needed changes.
  • Maintain compliance with all other company policies and procedures.
  • Meet deadlines for completion of daily, weekly and month-end reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain agreed upon teamwork schedule with arrangement with the pharmacy manager.
  • Actively participate in establishing drug formulary in condition with supply chain and clinical team.
  • Trains the staff to properly perform their duties and to be well established as per the pharmacy practice.
  • Meet identified business goals that contribute to organizational goals.
  • Developing and building teams- encouraging and building mutual rust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Must have up-to-date knowledge on all newly certified drugs and their prescribed uses.
  • Oversee staff while dispensing medicines utilized by or sold to customers to evaluate and improve their performance as needed.
  • Design and organize job descriptions and prepare annual performance evaluation for all employees in a prompt manner.
  • Prepare and maintains the integrity of the daily activity check list to be done by the pharmacy staff.
  • Maintain and ensure the team, customer and workplace safety and security by being aware, alerted to the surrounding workplace; also, by attending and applying all professional safety training sessions conducted by the clinic as per the policy.
  • Ensure attendance of his team and report any misbehavior to the pharmacy manager.
  • Ensure to report any maintenance issues related to the equipment or the pharmacy workspace immediately and as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • The pharmacy supervisor should provide additional flexibility in working hours and workplace to cover both operational & administrative assignments to respond to meetings, forums and similar events.

Education / Professional Qualifications:

  • Position requires graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy, or an advanced degree in pharmacy practice (Pharm.D., M.S., or Ph.D.)
  • Must be license by the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia.
  • Must have at least 8 years of experience, out of which 3 years should be on supervisor level.
  • Experience in Saudi Market; Jeddah Region in Outpatient pharmacy business.
