Job Description
The Pharmacy Assistant supports the daily operations of the pharmacy by managing inventory, assisting customers with over-the-counter (OTC) products, and ensuring the pharmacy environment is organized and efficient under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and assist in locating OTC medications, vitamins, and personal care products.
Process sales transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately.
Assist in receiving, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical inventory.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy shelves and display areas.
Support the pharmacist in administrative tasks such as prescription filing and data entry.
Ensure compliance with cold chain management for temperature-sensitive products.
Handle customer inquiries regarding loyalty programs and basic product information (referring clinical queries to the pharmacist).
Requirements
Minimum 2 years in a pharmacy environment (retail or hospital)
