Role Description The Pharmacy Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo. The Pharmacy Assistant supports pharmacists in dispensing medications, processing prescriptions accurately, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy policies and relevant regulations. Daily responsibilities include assisting customers at the counter, answering inquiries, handling phone calls with professional etiquette, and providing clear guidance on pharmacy services. The role also involves organizing shelves, receiving and stocking products, monitoring expiry dates, and contributing to inventory counts to maintain adequate stock levels. The Pharmacy Assistant collaborates closely with the pharmacy team to deliver efficient, safe, and courteous service in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Ability to handle prescriptions accurately with strong understanding of basic pharmacy concepts and procedures.
- Solid customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and clear, respectful communication.
- Experience or aptitude in inventory management, including stock handling, tracking, and rotation.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow standardized operating procedures.
- Diploma or degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a retail pharmacy or healthcare setting is an advantage.
- Basic computer skills for using pharmacy systems and point-of-sale applications.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
