Patient Care Assistant – Kings Marina Aesthetic Center

The purpose of this role is to work as part of the nursing team, supporting registered nurses and doctors in delivering a high-quality service. The post holder will be expected to work in line with evidence-based guidelines and unit-specific competencies, ensuring safe and effective patient care. Under the direction of the sister or Senior Nurse, the role will also involve supporting the smooth facilitation of patients throughout the clinic pathway

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide top-quality care for patients, ensuring that any concerns regarding a patient’s condition are escalated to the registered nurse in a timely manner.
  • Actively promote the health, wellbeing, and safety of patients, their relatives, and visitors throughout their visit to the Hospital.
  • Work within own capabilities and role, while demonstrating flexibility to extend responsibilities as required to support the running of the Medical Centre.
  • Support the upkeep of computer-based patient records in line with the health record policy.
  • Support colleagues with the smooth running of the Hospital by providing cover and assistance as required.
  • Assist in ensuring daily stock levels are adequate, and all treatment/consulting rooms are prepared and stocked for the day ahead.
  • Report stock issues promptly to senior nursing staff.
  • Assist with administrative and clerical duties to ensure effective operations within the clinical setting.
  • Perform reception duties, including manning telephones, registering patients on the electronic system, and ensuring a competent knowledge of the patient pathway.
  • Provide information accurately and courteously, adhering to the telephone answering script.

Qualifications

  • Any healthcare diploma or degree.
  • Has worked in hospital or similar setting for at least 2 years
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and discretion, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with the ability to manage digital documentation and communication effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and stakeholders.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong internal work standards; sets realistic goals for self and supports others in achieving team objectives.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, ensuring goals are met in dynamic environments.
