Role Summary
Provide specialized Pediatric Interventional Radiology services, performing advanced image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents within a tertiary care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a broad range of pediatric interventional radiology procedures, including vascular access, biopsies, drainage procedures, embolization, and treatment of vascular malformations.
- Provide expert consultations and recommendations for pediatric patients requiring minimally invasive image-guided interventions.
- Collaborate closely with Pediatric Surgery, Oncology, Gastroenterology, Neonatology, Intensive Care, and other multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and treatment planning discussions.
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety, quality standards, and evidence-based clinical practices.
- Support teaching, training, and mentoring of residents, fellows, and junior medical staff.
- Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities.
Mandatory Qualifications
- MBBS/MD or equivalent.
- Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Fellowship in Pediatric Interventional Radiology (Mandatory).
- Specialist/Consultant qualification recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
- Education, residency, fellowship, and board certification from Tier 1 countries (USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand).
Experience
- Minimum 3 years post-board experience as a Consultant Pediatric Interventional Radiologist.
- Experience in a tertiary pediatric hospital, children’s hospital, or academic medical center.
- Demonstrated expertise in complex pediatric vascular and non-vascular interventions.
Preferred
- Experience in a Pediatric Center of Excellence.
- Academic, teaching, and research experience.
- Publications or involvement in Pediatric Interventional Radiology research.
