Role Description The Outpatient Pharmacist is a full-time, on-site role based at Andalusia Hospital in Cairo. The role is responsible for accurately dispensing prescribed medications, verifying dosages, and checking for potential drug interactions and contraindications. The pharmacist provides clear counseling to patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence, ensuring safe and effective therapy. Daily tasks include reviewing prescriptions, maintaining proper documentation, managing medication inventory, and complying with hospital policies and regulatory standards. The pharmacist collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication-related outcomes and support quality patient care in the outpatient setting.

License to practice is a must
Working hours 8hrs/6days per week
Shift 4pm : 12am
- Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge, including pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interaction assessment.
- Proficiency in prescription verification, medication dispensing, and patient counseling on safe medication use.
- Experience with pharmacy information systems, electronic medical records, and basic computer skills.
- Solid understanding of local pharmaceutical regulations, hospital policies, and medication safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage workload in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BSc Pharm or PharmD) from an accredited institution; valid pharmacist license in Egypt.
- Previous experience in a hospital or outpatient pharmacy setting is preferred; familiarity with Middle East healthcare practices is an advantage.
