Job Description

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Valid Nursing License – DOH
• Minimum 5 years of Operating Room experience
• Previous leadership or charge nurse experience preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certification preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily operating room activities
• Coordinate patient care and surgical schedules
• Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards
• Support and mentor nursing staff
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in the Accreditation process within the area of accountability and ensure that systems are in place to meet all required standards for emergency and acute/critical care services.
• Conducts monthly staff meeting and records minutes. Communicates pertinent information and hospital protocols to staff.
• Manage cost containment within the area of accountability.
