Job Purpose / Objective  
Operate radiological equipment; perform routine and general procedures to produce the radiographs of designated portions of the human body, exercising proper safety and radiation protection at all times. Adhere to strict regulations of radiation safety due to radiation hazards. Assume responsibility in designated areas of procedures as required.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities   

3.1     Perform radiological procedures in accordance with established procedures.
3.2    Ensure technical quality of Radiographs/images and proper functioning of equipment in designated areas with minimum or no supervision.
3.3    Process films; maintain inventory in the designated area; record of x-ray taken, stocks of supplies.
3.4    Perform unrelated duties which may be required during Emergencies.
3.5    Use of specific techniques, equipment, accessories to protect patient and hospital personnel from hazards of radiation.
3.6    Prepare patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic examination.
3.7    Assist radiologist in fluoroscopic examination.
3.8    Place identifying marker on all films taken.
3.9    Assist in other duties as required by the Chief Technologist / Radiologists.
3.10    Provide and protect the confidentiality of any information, either medical or personal, acquired through professional contact with the patient.
3.11    Ensure care and safety of all patients undergoing examination to see that it is done in the best and proper way.
3.12    Provide patient and family education as per the needs.
3.13    Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
3.14    Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity.
3.15    Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his knowledge, skills and abilities.

Requirements

Education/ Professional Qualification
1.    Education    : Diploma
2.    Professional    : Radiologic Technology

Experience 
1.    At least Two (2) years of experience in Radiology in an acute care Hospital.

Certification
1.    Certification    : BLS certification
2.    Licensing    : Valid Saudi Council
