Responsibilities

1. Policy Issuance & Renewals

  • Supervise and support the processing of group and individual medical policy issuance and renewals in line with company guidelines and approved TATs.
  • Review submitted documents to ensure completeness and accuracy before approval and processing.
  • Coordinate with TPAs for system uploads, member activation, and medical card issuance.
  • Ensure policies are accurately issued on core systems (e.g., INSIS or equivalent) and assist in resolving system-related issues.

2. Endorsements & Modifications

  • Supervise the processing of policy endorsements, including additions, deletions, and modifications for group and individual policies.
  • Review endorsement requests for documentation completeness and policy compliance prior to implementation.
  • Ensure accurate system updates and invoicing for all endorsements.
  • Coordinate with TPAs and internal teams to ensure timely execution of endorsements.

3. Cancellations & COC Issuance

  • Oversee policy cancellations in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Review and ensure timely issuance of Certificates of Continuity (COC) within approved timelines.
  • Coordinate with Finance for refunds and financial adjustments, where applicable.

4. Operational Support & Team Supervision

  • Supervise daily operations of the medical operations team to ensure productivity, quality, and adherence to service levels.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor daily queues, and support timely closure of operational requests.
  • Handle and support operational requests such as ICP linking, invoice copies, invoice corrections, and category changes.
  • Act as a first-level escalation point for DHPO, system, and operational issues in coordination with IT and TPAs.

5. Compliance & Quality Control

  • Ensure medical operations activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on processed cases and provide feedback to team members.
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all activities.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate data and records.

6. Stakeholder & Client Support

  • Act as a point of contact for Sales and Customer Service for operational clarifications.
  • Support escalation handling within assigned authority levels.
  • Provide timely and accurate status updates to brokers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in insurance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Professional Certifications: 

o CII

o FLIM

Preferred Experience:

·5-7 years of experience in Medical Insurance Operations within a mid-to-large insurance company.

Minimum 3 years of experience in medical insurance operations, including team supervision.

Hands-on experience with TPAs and core systems (INSIS or equivalent).

Strong understanding of endorsements, cancellations, and COC issuance.

Good leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
