🔹 Key Responsibilities

Assign accurate medical and dental codes for diagnoses, procedures, treatments, and services based on clinical documentation.

Review patient medical and dental records to ensure proper coding and complete documentation.

Ensure compliance with DOH-Abu Dhabi, insurance payer policies, and international coding guidelines.

Verify coding accuracy to minimize claim denials and maximize reimbursement.

Manage rejected claims, re-submissions, and follow-up with insurance companies to ensure timely payment.

Coordinate with doctors, dentists, nursing staff, and insurance teams to resolve coding discrepancies and missing documentation.

Perform regular audits to ensure coding quality, compliance, and accuracy.

Maintain confidentiality of patient records and sensitive healthcare information.

Stay updated with changes in coding standards, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations in the UAE.

Support revenue cycle management processes to improve claim acceptance and operational efficiency.

🔹 Requirements:

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)

Minimum of 2 years of medical coding experience in the UAE

Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and E&M coding systems

Proficiency in CORTEX (Hospital Management System)

Good understanding of claim resubmission procedures and insurance requirements

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work under pressure
