The Locum General Practitioner provides high-quality clinical support within the Gastroenterology department. This fast-paced role requires high clinical acumen to assist consultants, manage patient flows, and deliver immediate, accurate care. The ideal candidate adapts quickly to institutional protocols and communicates effortlessly in a bilingual environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consultant Support: Accompany consultants during rounds and match their pace in high-volume clinics.
  • Patient Management: Conduct initial assessments, take detailed medical histories, and perform physical examinations.
  • Care Coordination: Order and interpret diagnostic tests under consultant guidance and follow up on results promptly.
  • Documentation: Maintain precise, timely, and complete electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with DHA standards.
  • Patient Communication: Explain treatment plans clearly to patients and families in both Arabic and English.
  • Emergency Response: Assist in stabilizing acute internal medicine or gastrointestinal cases as required.
Requirements

Education: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent from an accredited institution.Experience: Minimum of 2 years of active clinical experience strictly within Internal Medicine or Gastroenterology.Licensure: Valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) General Practitioner License or DHA Eligibility Letter.Language Skills: Native or professional bilingual fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory.Core Competencies: Exceptional learning agility, strong stress tolerance, sharp critical thinking, and a collaborative team spirit.
