Consultant ENT (Head and Neck Surgeon)

Job Description

Mediclinic Parkview Hospital is looking to hire a Consultant ENT (Head & Neck Surgeon), to provide specialized surgical and clinical care for patients with complex ENT and head & neck conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of ENT disorders in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings

Perform advanced head and neck surgical procedures, including

Head and neck tumor resections (benign and malignant)

Thyroid and salivary gland surgery (where applicable)

Neck dissections

Laryngectomy and other oncologic procedure

Airway surgeries, including elective and emergency tracheostomy/tracheotomy

  • Evaluate and manage patients with upper airway obstruction and complex airway disorders
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with head and neck cancers
  • Collaborate with medical oncology, radiation oncology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, speech therapy, and allied health professionals
  • Provide perioperative and postoperative care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in the hospital’s on-call rota for ENT emergencies
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing medical education activities

Qualifications

Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent

Completion of a recognized residency and specialist training in Otolaryngology (ENT

Fellowship or equivalent advanced training in Head and Neck Surgery is highly desirable.

Board

Certification/Specialist Registration from a recognized international certifying bod

Eligibility for consultant licensure with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA)

Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ post-board certification experience as a Consultant ENT Surge

on.

Demonstrated expertise in

  • Head and neck oncology surgery
  • Tracheostomy/tracheotomy and complex airway management
  • Management of benign and malignant head and neck tumors

Experience working within a multidisciplinary cancer program is preferred
