About the role

As our Insurance Coordinator, based at our Abu Dhabi clinic, you’ll be the vital link between DISC’s clinical team, our patients, and insurance providers. You’ll manage the full insurance claims process, from direct billing to reimbursement forms, and support patients with questions about claims, eligibility, covered benefits, and approval status.

Responsibilities

• Manage claims and pre-approval submissions accurately and within deadline
• Process all insurance billing for patient services
• Verify eligibility and insurance coverage, and communicate this clearly to staff and patients
• Coordinate and process payments from insurance carriers, troubleshooting any issues that arise
• Train front desk and reception staff on insurance and direct billing processes
• Respond to patient enquiries on claims, eligibility, covered benefits, and approval status, and handle complaints with care

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ Insurance Coordinator experience in Abu Dhabi
• Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD codes and medical terminology
• A detail-oriented, data-driven approach, with the ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment
• A self-driven, organized approach to managing and prioritising your workload to meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Required Skills

• 3+ years’ Insurance Coordinator experience in Abu Dhabi
• Solid Knowledge of CPT and ICD codes and medical terminology
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• Excellent English communication skills
• Familiarity with UAE insurer direct billing platforms
• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification

Preferred Skills

• Experience training front-of-house or reception teams on insurance processes
• Involvement in ADHICS, JAWDA, or other DOH regulatory audits and inspections
