Job Description

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of a medical school recognized by the medical council of the country of origin with completion of appropriate internship programs.
  • Postgraduate or equivalent qualification, based on residency training program, accepted by Saudi Council for Healthcare Specialties.
  • Board Certificate in required specialty or equivalent and with 1-2 years Fellowship in related specialty as needed or 3 years after being board-certified.
  • Valid SCFHS license as ICU Specialist
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in critical care or ICU settings.
  • Prior experience working with Long-term care hospitals, or related is highly desirable.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based critical care to ICU patients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, and other specialists.
  • Monitor patient status continuously and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Educate patients and families about their conditions and care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients upon admission and throughout their stay.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, interventions, and therapies as prescribed.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, providing life-saving interventions when necessary.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and nursing personnel.
  • Document all patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical records.
  • Participate in ICU quality assurance, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
