Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction:
- Conduct face-to-face interviews with patients to complete health-related questionnaires.
- Ask patients a series of pre-determined questions related to their health, lifestyle, and medical history.
- Ensure that patients understand the purpose of the questionnaire and answer questions with accuracy and honesty.
Data Collection and Recording:
- Accurately record patient responses in the electronic health records (EHR) system or designated database.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect patient information in accordance with HIPAA and clinic policies.
- Ensure all required questions are asked and that the data collected is complete and accurate.
Collaboration with Clinical Staff:
- Work closely with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure that the data collected is available for patient care planning.
- Identify and report any immediate health concerns that arise during the questionnaire process to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of questionnaires and educational materials to patients.
Administrative Support:
- Provide support in other areas of the clinic or hospital as required by nursing staff.
Understands, follows and supports all hospital infection control programs
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Healthcare Assistant certificate, and/or KHDA
- Nursing Assistant certificate a plus
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in patient-facing roles, is preferred. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact empathetically with patients. Fluent English is a must
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and recording. Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team. Basic computer skills and familiarity with healthcare documentation
